Someone leaked a couple pages of the goalie section of the 2023 CCM catalog on a popula/r/ hockey-related Discord. Surprised it hasn't made its way here yet. Maybe it's on GGSU, but I'm seldom on there?
The full CCM catalog is out there. The Bauer one is always tricky to find.
Other than a peek at the Vaughn V10 and the CCM Eflex6, I didn't catch anything else not released. The launch of the Warrior G6 and Brian's Optik4 and Mckenney's XPG2, nothing else happening.

I just ordered a new bike. Just a Marin. Gotta feed my kids. These $10k bikes are nuts.
I know!! My car cost me less than the average road bike out there. If you want anything remotely reliable and performing, you gotta splurge. The one I'm aiming at right now (Argon18) is 3 000$. My dream bike is a Celeste Carbon Bianchi, well over 5 000$.

3 more weeks and the moto photography season is over, I will shoot hockey games once a week with an LHNA near Montréal, if things are going the way I want.
If you wanna see some shots I do, head over to Instagram and let me know what you think !
Wait...the LHNA is still a thing? Have they added more teams to their already massive 4? lolll

Our Tour Leader is a professional driver who was born in Siena. Every day we are assigned a different car and then chase each other through the many mountains and valleys of South Central Italy. It has been a gas (1.75 Euros/litre).
Some of you may recall a photo of me on this forum from a few years ago with my Miata and Brown goalie gear. I have owned 4 of these wonderful sporty cars over the past 20+ years so this is a special holiday for us.
Hockey starts on Monday for my team. I told the guys that I will be late reporting to training camp, need to repaint my barn near Siena (Glenn Hall reference).
Internet coverage has been sketchy over here, so here goes an attempt at a few photos, maybe …………
@Wonder35 How dare you live such a glorious and lavish retirement!!!!
Happy for you man

GT2 would look just as bad if it weren't for the simple colour scheme.
I guess so. Clean and simple.

Yo! I'm guilty of being quiet on here lately.
I was busy customizing, ordering, waiting for, receiving, modifying, and enjoying a new car and not thinking about goalie gear.
Oops. My bad.

After a very long quiet looking after I finally got this one to reset myself back to Warrior chesty feeling. Almost back to square one but that would actually be RBK 9K and I still own that thing
Wasn't really cheap but only about 10 times used so pretty much brand new including new gear smell. Only found one puck mark on elbow floater and one on shoulder floater.
And after some re-setting and rethinking I feel like I'm home again. Hopefully I feel the same after I get this to the real test.
I would of loved to keep mine if it wasn't so damn huge and bulky. Have fun.

I was thinking the exact same thing this weekend. I was wondering if everybody was just overbooked with games or something. It is too quiet and I'm getting tired of just seeing action in the Konect thread only to be honest.
I miss bunny too. We obviously had a cycling connection with my years of road racing. Grind those pedals brother, big gears...RIP

Honestly Steve, with the new line-ups, I don't see Warrior mass producing anymore of the old accessories, unless they are of course compliant with the G6 line. Wishing you luck man.

Has anyone has purchased and used the Rekker stick from Canadian Tire? Seems fair for a low end composite stick. Feedback?

Because why not.
First thoughts on the G5:
- My rgt2's have a stiffer boot and thigrise.
- blocker is nice and comfortable
- catcher came with a 60 degree liner but feels nice. Very snappy. I think the feel of my rgt2 is better, but golve feels good.
Get my first try with these tomorrow, but I was a bit whelmed when I first saw them. Didn't expect my "hybrid" set to be stiffer.
So does the 60 liner make it feel like a Bauer Vapor/9000 glove?
As for the GT2 pads, that would mean that they aren't a true old school flex pad, just a tapered boot. They do feel a tad stiffer than my older Smith 1000s I once owned. We'll call the GT line hockey's crossover. Now that it's no longer in production (custom orders), everything falls onto the G6. Do they offer a tapered boot? Can't remember the options.

That's just Lefebvre gloves. The biggest enigma to me in goaltending is the love of Lefebrve gear.
But what does turn you on Rich?
Noooo, I will NOT give you that satisfaction!

I myself can't get turned on by the CCMs shape either but I have to admit that the basket is far better looking than Bauer's. I don't mind a shallow basket but Bauer is an exaggeration, almost to the likes of a GM21 lolll.

A beauty! Sorry about your struggle.

I'm curious to see how the clasps will wear out the inside pad channel in the long run. There's bound to be some new wear and tear spots not seen from conventional skates.
How's the toe splay in these things? I find my X170s rather narrow at the toe box.

Noticed one more thing I do without noticing it is I control my slide a lot with the dragging / kicking leg. That does open the backhand ice but that also happens somewhat with my narrow BF so it's a kind of lose-lose situation.
I should start practising the weight movements while sliding to be able to change my movement to opposite direction. This is where too much speed is also bad, the momentum is heavy.
This would be a good video to work on cause even without the slide plates, for any brand pad, there is a time/situation to push hard and then one for a simple rotation and weight transfer, not to mention a simple pad shuffle. Leading with your stick and follow through with body control, glove/blocker activation...all important to help close up and take up space in your displacement.
If I wasn't injured I would make a short video about it.

It just requires a new style to control the slides. I've noticed myself using the toe box and front point of the steel of my skate a lot more when I need to slow down the slide. That way I don't open the ice at all.
And I'm really just learning how to play goalie and will never be anything called good anymore being over 43 now.
Sad but true.

Matt at Hockey Review apparently was going to order a 6.0 glove with a stitched in liner but there was a time production issue and he eventually opted for the standard removable one, so...FYI, it's a possible/available option if you ask or insist or whatever. The reverse if also possible for the 6.1 glove.

Thanks for the response. I decided to order a pair and give them a shot.
Did you go with the Pro Spec or the Elite?

Side note about inner pants belt: how does the belt not interfere with the upper cup padding? Does it not push it downwards and out of the way? I can't seem to visualise it.
