I decided to go back to ccm from true and do a throwback to a set of gear I feel in love with while growing up watching the local jr a team. Can't wait to take them for a spin next week. And I have the matching jersey, but it's not goalie cut. :/

Sick pads! What’re the specs you got? Also do you have the internal like professor strap thing I think they call it the QMSS2 or something like that

Pads are a single core single outer break

Maxcore rebound

3d grip

Fixed below knee strap

Loose fit with 2 straps

Sold boot.

I opted for regular straps instead of the qmss straps as I have big calf's and I hate tight fitting pads.

Long time lurker and so on, this time Vaughn VE8 pads 33+2. Good condition and "only" 100€. Didn't find almost any marks of use except normal coloring etc. RRC straps I think are removed and ankle cover is cut somewhat. Gorilla tape on knee blocks but that will be changed to plastic right away to start with.

I was actually more interested in SLR line but these came available, maybe later with the SLR then... :)

Got myself a new Passau C/A unit.  It looks massive on me and I love it.

Also took a picture of the unit it is replacing side by side to show the difference in size.

So I wrapped my mask with stickers from redbubble…

Waiting on either a number for this year or possibly a sticker of the team logo for the chin. Still thinking on what to put on the backplate.

Now fingers crossed the adhesive from these doesn’t effect Bauers the way some vinyl effects the otnys, really don’t want my mask shredding to pieces halfway through the year lol

I've used window decals and designated mask decals for years on different Bauer masks. You'll be fine.

I hope so. These ones are sort of textured, not smooth like normal decals but I'll take your word for it

Here's hoping. Sounds like whatever you're using is different, but there's tons of people thst do mask wraps without issue.

I finally got my hands on the new CCM ABPRO 24. I’ve been previously using the AB18 in a fit 3, but ended up grabbing a fit 2 in the 24 model. For what it’s worth, I’m approx. 6’ tall and tuck my chests. Other than being a little stiff, there was little to no adjustment time.

I've been reading comments that a size 2 is M/L and a 3 is L/XL.

Since there's not a bunch of velcro adjustments on the shoulders and back as everything else now, the adjustment or rather falling on the right size has to be like the lottery?

If it's a Pro Stock you're right. The ABPRO 24 is going to be available for retail and I'm sure those ones will comes with the standard adjustment options.

I would say that's pretty close, although the body length is very very similar on the fit 2 and fit 3. I can measure when I get home from work, but I think they were both 24" to the end of the pelvic protector. The fit 2 was deceptively larger fitting (at least for what I thought). From what I saw in the store fit 2 is more like a large (snug fit), while fit 3 is like a large+/xl, and fit 4 would be like an xl+. Admittedly, I didn't get a chance to look at, or try on, the fit 1, although my best guess is that it would be more like a med/med+.

I can't remember where I pulled this size chart from (someone had posted it previously on the forum), but it's pretty close in terms of how the units fit, although it's certainly not an apples-to-apples for the standard sizing (sm/med/lrg/xl), so I wouldn't compare to standard retail units:

Height and weight will definitely be a factor in how the unit fits. The fit 3 AB18 that I have been using was just a hair large for me, although still very playable. After getting playing around with the fit 2 in the 24 model, it's definitely a better fit, and sits more evenly on my shoulders (changing the way the arms fall).

The ABPRO 24 that I have is the retail unit, but it has the same level of adjustment as the AB18. Basically a 1-to-1 for the pro units. No floater adjustments. Only arm length, tightness, and body tightness.

I stand corrected.

I'm happy they kept that cause it's a huge selling point for me. I can't stand all the velcro shit everywhere. Takes forever to tweak and that just drives me nuts.

What do you say about this one? I was looking for a pair of skates I have in the storage and found this in a pile. I remember it came to me in a bag of "waste" gloves. Which included one Simmons UL that I already refurbished a long time ago. Maybe I'll have to do this one too.

Yes, I think that is why I left it into that pile, I didn't have the skills and materials to fix it properly. But it actually isn't that bad at all. The finger edge isn't really broken but just the lace is missing. Also some previous owner has done some repairs to the pocket edge. But other than those it seems to need a dismantle, good wash process and some fixing and then some new lace into the rebuild.

I don't think I like the Thief that much at all, but it can always be sold to next happy owner.

Can any of you find a picture where this glove is in use by Weekes? I didn't find any where he would've used Brian's at all. If that is KW signature on the backhand strapping then this should be NHL approved glove, but sure he could've used it in the AHL etc. while being ready for NHL.

There are no back or shoulder floater adjustment in the new arm and body. They are sewn in.

Do you see any "big" differences between AB18 and AB24?

How about non segmented floaters?

I haven´t had the chance to see AB24 it in person yet, but from photo it looks like same chest with never disign (in a good meaning)?

Minor changes overall. They are very very close. I find that the new floaters sit a little more square (at least for me). This may be due to a couple of things; 1) going down a size to the fit 2, 2) the 24 model not having the segmentation on the front of the chest, which doesn't allow they to rotate outward and 'round out'. I would also say that the 'airknit?' is a welcome addition in the body. The elbow design is also slightly different on the 24 model, however I didn't notice any difference with it when playing.
